General Meeting
May- Please join us on Thursday evening, May 15 at the Living Word Church in Vandalia for the very popular Spotlight Night. The evening begins at 6:30 with dinner. The talent show will begin at 7:00. Election ballots will be passed out as you arrive and must be turned in by 7:15 to be counted. Awarding of scholarships will conclude the evening. Buddy Walk registration information will be available. Childcare will NOT be provided. June- Please join us June 19th for BINGO Night!!! Children and adults are welcome to play, therefore, childcare will NOT be provided. As always, a light dinner will be available at 6:30. Come join us for an evening of fun!!

Mom's Night Out May 29 at Beef O'Brady's in Beavercreek June 26 at Panera Bread on Miller Lane Note: Our Mom's Night Out is the last Thursday of the month. Please contact the office for details (937) 222-0744, directions or to be added to the Mom's Night Out email list.

Buddy Walk Information
The 2008 Buddy Walk is right around the corner!!
Registration forms and team information will be available at our
May General meeting. Mark your calendars for
September 27th. Registration begins
at 9:00am with a light breakfast available to all in attendance.
The walk starts at 10:00. Delco Park in Kettering will once
again be the home of this wonderful event. If you are
interested in helping out on the 2008 Buddy Walk Committee,
please contact the office at 222.0744. |
DADS Group
(Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome) If you are a father of a child with Down Syndrome and are looking for a place to share your story or find others willing to share in the joy of fatherhood, please join our mailing list and know you are welcome to attend our meetings. We look forward to hearing from you. If you have any questions, please call Stefan Bridenbaugh at 937-884-5325. The DADS group meets 2nd Tuesday of each month. The next meetings of the DADS group will be May 13 and June 10 at Hickory River. All meetings begin at 7:00. Thinking about Golf anyone?? Our 2nd Annual Golf Outing will be at Beech Wood Golf Course near Arcanum. Details to follow soon. |

Teen / Adult Everyone had such a food time at the St. Patrick's Dance that we have decided to do it again! More information will be forth coming in reference to a Summer Dance at Church of the Cross in June. Date and time will be decided at a later date. If you think you might be interested, let Barb Schramm (885-2281) know so she can get in contact with you when details have been finalized. |
It's Strawberry Time Again It's Strawberry Time Again Date set for June 7, 2008 Time for our creative minds to start coming up with an idea for the 2008 Strawberry Festival parade float. This year, the theme is "Let's Talk Berries". We will again have work dates at the Bridenbaugh's to work on the float. If anyone has any ideas on how to decorate the float based on this year's theme or if you want to help decorate please contact Stefan or Jennifer Bridenbaugh at 884-5325.

Fundraising... As a result of the City Barbeque Fundraiser on March 4th, we received a check for $570!!! Thank you to all who ate at City Barbeque and spread the word to friends and family!!

The LexisNexis / MVDSA The LexisNexis / MVDSA 20th annual Hand-in-Hand event is scheduled for Saturday, September 13, 2008, from 10:00am-3:00pm for children age 5 and up. Due to deadlines at LexisNexis, they request that all release forms be returned to the office no later than Tuesday, July 15th. We ask that everyone complete and return a form, even if there's a chance they may not be able to participate. Lexis Nexis Hand in Hand release form
